Hi! I'm Andrea K. Forist. I'm an artist & fashion designer from the USA.
For over 16 years I've lent my design expertise to leading global brands in the outdoor and active fashion industry while also prioritizing time spent being active and adventuring myself. I have lived #vanlife in Peru, motor-biked through mountains in Thailand and backcountry snowboarded in Japan. I have also managed entire collections and design teams, collaborated with pro-athletes to improve product performance, and presented my work in front of diverse audiences including celebrities.
AESTHETIC & ETHOS
I believe the clothing and objects we use everyday can, and should, "spark joy" in addition to being functional. Why can't the extension cord I use in the garage be bubblegum pink instead of orange? Why can't my rain jacket be breathable and waterproof AND look cool at the same time? Functional design does not have to be boring.
In my art and design work I aim to be colorful, irreverent, upbeat, whimsical and environmentally conscious.
While most evident in my personal practice, I have also applied this filter to my extensive work in commercial fashion design while incorporating appropriate trends and staying brand relevant.
