FLIGHT REMIX COLLECTION: Above you can see some tech drawings and product shots of the pieces I designed for the originally- briefed Flight Remix collection. I was responsible for the design lines, fit, selecting fabric and trims, and creating the texture print used on the fleece sweatshirt.
STRETCH PROJECT - THE FUTURE FLIGHT JACKET: For the Flight Remix Collection, I also elected to take on a "stretch project" (extra experimental project in addition to my regular workload) to design the "future flight jacket". Using the same design principles as the footwear team, I updated an iconic retro apparel piece from the original 1990 Jordan V collection. This was meant as a show piece for an internal presentation, however the end result went over so well that senior management requested the jacket be added to the FA14 line.
Above you can see a bit of my process where I worked with the kitchen (Nike's innovation lab) to draft my own pattern and played with new construction techniques and ultra light weight fabrics to create a modern update to the original Jordan V windbreaker design.
